The Attendance Director is responsible for ensuring that all students attend school regularly in compliance with West Virginia state laws and county board policies. This role includes monitoring and analyzing attendance data, identifying patterns of absenteeism, and implementing interventions to improve student attendance.

The Attendance Director works closely with school administrators, social workers, counselors, teachers, and families to address barriers to attendance, provide support services, and enforce compulsory attendance requirements.

Additionally, the Attendance Director may coordinate with community agencies and the court system when necessary to promote regular attendance and support student success.
