This is a message from Wayne County Schools. On Monday, March 20th, a student at Tolsia High School made a verbal comment about another student having a weapon. As a result, THS was placed on a precautionary lockdown.
The report was immediately investigated by the THS School Resource Officer and it was determined the student's claims were false. After the investigation, the lockdown was lifted and the school returned to a normal schedule.
