SBA Awards WCS $20-Million

Governor Jim Justice stopped in Wayne County Friday morning and met with Buffalo Elementary and Middle School Students to formally announce a grant from the SBA.

The West Virginia School Building Authority has awarded more than 20 million dollars to Wayne County Schools for renovations at Buffalo Middle School. This investment from the SBA will be used to add elementary classrooms and extensive renovations to the existing BMS, creating a Kindergarten – 8th grade school.

This

project is a top priority for the school board and is the next major project on the district’s Comprehensive Education Facilities Plan. WCS greatly appreciates the SBA for recognizing the importance of this project and providing the necessary funding for its completion.
