We want to make you aware that the Town of Wayne has issued a “Do Not Consume” order for public water affecting the town of Wayne, including the areas served by:
East Lynn Elementary School
Wayne Elementary School
Wayne Middle School
Wayne High School
Town officials advised that this order is related to vandalism at a mine in East Lynn that has impacted Twelve Pole Creek. The order has been issued out of an abundance of caution, and additional updates are expected during the morning hours.
Schools will remain open. To ensure student and staff safety, bottled water will be provided at all affected facilities, and students will not be asked to drink from water fountains or use tap water for consumption.
We will continue to follow guidance from Town of Wayne officials and will update families as we receive further instructions.
