Wayne County Schools has been informed by local officials that the water is not approved for cleaning and other non-consumable uses at this time.
As a result, East Lynn Elementary School, Wayne Elementary School, Wayne Middle School, and Wayne High School will be closed on Tuesday, 1/20/26. It is likely this will impact additional days later in the week, and we will continue to monitor the situation closely and prepare for remote learning if necessary. Staff will report tomorrow.
Wayne County Schools will begin providing schedule updates tomorrow evening as additional information becomes available.
