Our sixth-grade students completed a writing assignment about a gingerbread house, and at the hoopla yesterday, they all voted on the top 3. Our winners were: 1st place (Aubree Erdlitz & Kaylen Spurlock), 2nd place (Rylee Erdlitz & Livy Swanigan), & 3rd place (Nate Coy, Korben Marshall, & Degan Waller). Congrats to these students! We loved seeing everyone's hard work on display!
Our band concert is tonight at 6 pm at Spring Valley High School. Band students need to be there at 5:10.
Jason Ekers stopped by today to explain the importance of soil testing and how it can benefit crop production/crop health, diagnose problems, and aid in protecting the environment.

Beta Update:
We regret to inform you that the Beta Showcase scheduled for Wednesday, December 11th has been canceled. We are incredibly proud of all our students and their hard work.
We received feedback that many people would not be able to attend, and we understand that the holiday season brings its own set of challenges. Rest assured, next year we will plan the event for the week after Beta to ensure we can showcase our amazing students.
Thank you for everything you do and for making this year's Beta convention such a success.

All of our students who attended the county social studies fair yesterday placed! We are so proud of all their work. All students and groups who placed first will be moving on to the regional fair in March!
We are excited to announce that Buffalo Middle School and Buffalo Elementary will be hosting a Beta Showcase on December 11th at 6:00 PM in the Buffalo Middle School gym. This event is a wonderful opportunity for our students to share their projects and awards with the community. We invite you to join us in celebrating their hard work and talents.

Today was our 2nd six weeks incentive reward field trip! We had a great day at the Cinema at Camp Landing! After watching We Are Marshall, we ate lunch at the food court. Students had a blast socializing and playing some games. We are already looking forward to the next six weeks' activity.
Tomorrow is the last day to order BMS holiday sweatshirts! Order forms can be turned in to your social studies teacher. If you lost your order form, just bring in your style and size and we'll record it for you.
Report cards go home today along with the attendance letter from the county. 8th grade students will also receive a letter from SVHS. Tomorrow is our second six weeks incentive reward field trip to the movies! Students can bring money for concessions & lunch, but we will be providing a bag lunch as well.
Congratulations to all our Social Studies Fair winners from last week! All first place winners will be moving on to the County Fair after break on Thursday, December 5th at Crum.
