Yesterday a group of our 8th grade students were trained in Read Aloud WV techniques as they prepare to participate in a Read to Me program where they will be reading weekly to the Buffalo elementary students. We can't wait to see this program develop!

Students were given athlete registration forms last week that must be filled out once per year in order to participate in Special Olympics. If you have a child wanting to participate who did not bring this form home, please reach out to the school or your child's teacher.

Students who were selected for Beta will be receiving paperwork today. The letter has information about Beta, fees for this year, and the Remind information, so you can stay up to date on announcements. Mrs. Roark from the elementary school is in charge, so the easiest way to communicate is through Remind or email with her. We will not be accepting student registration forms back unless they are sent with the fees. Please make sure students turn in both at once. Also, the link to the Beta Club Handbook is below: https://support.betaclub.org/support/solutions/153000297080. This has all the information you need to know!

As part of our "All Day, Every Day" attendance campaign, students have been competing in a "First to 10 Wins" contest in their homerooms. Each day that the homeroom has above 95% attendance, they receive a point. The first three homerooms to get 10 points receive a reward!! Mrs. Vanzandt's class was our 3rd Homeroom to receive 10 points, so the class decided to pie Mr. Watkins as their reward!! Congratulations to Mrs. Vanzandt's class!!

Students who applied for and are being invited to join the Robotics Club will be bringing home a letter today with more information. Practices will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school until 4:30 pm starting next week.
