8th Grade Families: The SV CTE visit and high school scheduling will be rescheduled for after Christmas break. We will announce when we have a new date!
Wayne County Schools will be on a two-hour delay for Tuesday, December 16, 2025.
All events for elementary and middle are cancelled for today. No practice either. High School may practice.
Due to all the delays and cancellations, we have moved the 8th grade CTE visit to tomorrow, 12/16. Scheduling with the HS counselors will be Wednesday, 12/17. I have attached information about options for high school classes, so you can discuss with your students at home before they complete their scheduling. Also, I've attached the SV remind account, so you can make sure you are receiving all of their updates for the incoming ninth grade class!

Middle School Math Field Day has been changed to Thursday, January 8, 2026, due to the possible weather tomorrow.
Middle School Math Field Day is cancelled for today. The plan is to have it tomorrow. If more weather moves in, the county will reschedule it.
On Friday, our 8th grade students will be visiting the CTE building to learn about the programs offered there. Next Monday, they will be working with the SV counselors to fill out their preference sheet for ninth grade. Please discuss these options with your students this weekend, so that they are prepared to complete their schedules on Monday!
Attached are our bell schedules for early release and 2-hour delay days. Our lunch times are a little different on these days, and we wanted to make you all aware! Also, if anyone kept their student home today due to the weather, just give us a call or fill out the online absence form to let us know!

Math Field Day update!
We are excited to announce our spirit week for the week before Christmas break (December 15-19). We will also be hosting our third annual Holiday Hoopla on December 18th.
Please see attached information for the Wayne County Farm Bureau Photo Contest. Photos must be given to Mrs. Shilot before January 8th.
Before Thanksgiving break, Mr. Anderson held a fundraiser where students could purchase tattoos and tattoo a teacher of their choice. It was a blast and a success! Thanks to all our teachers for their willingness to participate. Mr. Jenkins by far had the most expensive amount of tattoos, totaling over $50! The Band program raised over $300 through this activity.
Today our staff celebrated the 67th day of school with students this year! We hope students had fun participating in activities. Thanks to staff members who dressed up!
