On Friday, our 8th grade students will be visiting the CTE building to learn about the programs offered there. Next Monday, they will be working with the SV counselors to fill out their preference sheet for ninth grade. Please discuss these options with your students this weekend, so that they are prepared to complete their schedules on Monday!

Attached are our bell schedules for early release and 2-hour delay days. Our lunch times are a little different on these days, and we wanted to make you all aware! Also, if anyone kept their student home today due to the weather, just give us a call or fill out the online absence form to let us know!

Important Announcement from Mrs. Ryder & Mr. Watkins attached!

Wayne County Schools - 2-Hour Delay Tomorrow, Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2026!
Math Field Day update!

We are excited to announce our spirit week for the week before Christmas break (December 15-19). We will also be hosting our third annual Holiday Hoopla on December 18th.

Please see attached information for the Wayne County Farm Bureau Photo Contest. Photos must be given to Mrs. Shilot before January 8th.

Before Thanksgiving break, Mr. Anderson held a fundraiser where students could purchase tattoos and tattoo a teacher of their choice. It was a blast and a success! Thanks to all our teachers for their willingness to participate. Mr. Jenkins by far had the most expensive amount of tattoos, totaling over $50! The Band program raised over $300 through this activity.

Today our staff celebrated the 67th day of school with students this year! We hope students had fun participating in activities. Thanks to staff members who dressed up!

Families: Mrs. Hensley is requesting your feedback on her communication this year. Please complete the survey using the link or the QR code to help shape future counselor communication! https://forms.office.com/r/uTTwBcr5eB

We’re almost to Christmas break ... and these next few weeks really matter. We know this time of the year is busy - holiday events, family plans, and colder weather can make mornings tough. But when students are in school, on time, every day, they are:
📚 Keeping up with learning instead of feeling stressed trying to catch up
🤝 Staying connected with friends and teachers instead of feeling left out
🧠 Building strong habits that will help them all the way through high school and beyond
🎯 Finishing the semester strong so they can enjoy break without worry
Every day between now and Christmas break is packed with important classwork, projects, and activities. When students miss even a few days, it can be hard to make up the work and the confidence.
Let’s work together to finish strong before break, so our students can walk out the door on the last day feeling proud, confident, and ready to relax.
✅ Attendance today builds their opportunities tomorrow. Thank you for all you do to get them here! 💙
